Biographies of the Chefs
Carin McClain started cooking at the ripe old age of 8 years and is now an award winning chef. At the Catersource Industry Gathering in Las Vegas, she took first place at the Chef’s competition for overall presentation, creativity and taste. She worked as the sous-chef at Zov’s Bistro, and was invited to cook at the James Beard House in New York. She has continued to hone her craft by working as Chef d’ cuisine for Soiree Catering and is the creator of the food and tastes that Chefs A La Carte presents.
Marguerite Siliceo has been a chef in the food industry for 30 years working for some of the most recognized catering companies in Orange and Los Angeles counties. She has been executive chef for Along Came Mary, L.A. Spice, and Soiree Catering and Event Planning Company. One of her many talents lies in her ability to coordinate and manage off-premise kitchens of large-scale plated and buffet events as well as an intimate dinner for 10.
Carin and Marguerite were recruited by Stanford University to set up catering venues at the Faculty Club and the prestigious Schwab Center. A formidable team, they have worked coast to coast and are now bringing their unique talents to Orange County. Their distinctive style and artistry will astound you and their sumptuous flavors will leave your guests waiting for the next invitation.
